Fundraising in Schools

Fundraising in schools provides an oppurtunity to get staff talking about HIV and AIDS, educated young people by talking about HIV, risks and safer sex; help tackle discrimination and stigma in your school surrounding HIV and develop new skills in devising, planning and managing an event - all whilst raising money for a great cause.

We can also supply resources for your fundraising event

Ideas to go

Here are some ideas for fundraising at school (and there are plenty of others in our fundraising pack, BRIght IDEAS, too)

  • Gunge a teacher! Big bucket of nasty coloured stuff. One teacher; or a few. You pay £1.
  • Or wet sponges with the teacher as the coconut shy. You know what to do.
  • Organise a gig, collecting money on the door
  • Have a lunch time party
  • Bring your bear to school
  • No school uniform day

There’s loads of other ideas in our fundraising pack Bright Ideas.  Download your PDF version here.

Speakers Make it Real

You might also want to find out more about our Positive Speakers programme where HIV positive people from all walks of life talk about their lives. Putting together fundraising with a Positive Speakers event makes money raised even more meaningful and real.
