Tuesday 07/05/2013 - African Space - Regional Asylum Activism
Time: midday until 2.30 p.m.
Location: George House Trust - Training Room
At this month's space we will be looking at how you can campaign for positive change to the asylum system and change attitudes. African Space is a safe and comfortable place to chat and socialise with other people living with HIV.
Light snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks provided. A free crèche for under 5's is at the nearby Gregory's Place family centre. George House Trust volunteers and staff are on hand if you need them. Feel free to come to one of the African Spaces whenever you wish. If you have never used George House Trust before, please ring Siham first, on 0161 274 4499.

Monday 13/05/2013 - Gay Men's Social Space
Time: 5 until 8 p.m.
Location: George House Trust - Training Room
Gay Men's social space is once a month (on a Monday evening) for all Gay Men who are living with HIV.
Gay Men's Space is a safe and comfortable place to chat and socialise with other people.
Light snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks provided. George House Trust volunteers and staff are on hand if you need them.

Tuesday 14/05/2013 - Coffee Morning
Time: 10.30 a.m. until 12.30 p.m.
Location: George House Trust - Training Room
Coffee Morning is a social event and an opportunity to chat with other HIV positive people in a relaxed setting.
We will not be able to offer drop in based services during this event, there will be no access to reception - so no computer or phone use.
There is a crèche for the under 5’s and we will reimburse public transport fares, for those who qualify.

Wednesday 15/05/2013 - Health Workshop - Disclosure
Time: 11.30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Location: George House Trust - Training Room
This month's informative health workshop looks at disclosure. We'll be exploring the issues around telling others about your HIV status as well as HIV and the law. There will also be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
This workshop forms part of a fantastic programme of workshops developed by staff at GHT, looking at a wide range of topics, to improve the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV.
Lunch, travel expenses and childcare costs are available for people attending the course. To book your place, contact Peter. The session is open to all service users.

Saturday 18/05/2013 - Saturday Space
Time: midday until 4 p.m.
Location: George House Trust - Training Room
This month's Saturday Space has two activities - the first is a review of the space. We'll be looking at what YOU want to see from future Saturday Spaces. We'll also be looking at freebies - fun activities and things to do that won't cost you a penny and also how you can get stuff for free, through promotions and being generally in the know!
Saturday Space is a monthly social space for everyone who is HIV positive and uses George House Trust. Saturday Space is for both women and men. Saturday and other group spaces are a safe and comfortable place to chat and socialise with other people living with HIV.
We provide light snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks. George House Trust volunteers and staff are on hand if you need them. Feel free to come to one of the Saturday spaces whenever you wish.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no crèche or facilities for children at Saturday Space.

Tuesday 21/05/2013 - Women's Space - Homemade Beauty Products
Time: midday until 2.30 p.m.
Location: George House Trust - Training Room
This month at Women's Space you can learn how to make cheap and cheerful beauty products simply from ordinary store cupboard ingredients and fruit and vegetables past their best for eating. Loads of recipes, hints and tips plus fun demonstrations of the products.
Women’s Space is every month and is for all women who are living with HIV. Women’s Space is a safe and comfortable place to chat and socialise with other women living with HIV. Today we will have Ice Breakers, a good way to get to know each other, and the Service Review for you to let us know what you think about the Women's Space and our service.

Tuesday 28/05/2013 - Health Information Session - Diet and Nutrition
Time: midday until 2.30 p.m.
Location: George House Trust - Training Room
This month's Health Information Session looks at Nutrition, HIV and energy levels.
Come and find ou the basics of human nutrition, understand more about essential food groups and the effects of salt and sugar on diet and your body. We'll also be looking at some healthy low cost recipes that will keep you full, fit and brimming with energy!
Light refreshments provided. Creche available for under 5’s and transport costs for those who qualify.

Friday 31/05/2013 - GHT in Rochdale
Time: 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

GHT will have a services adviser in the area for one-to-one appointments, for those who find it easier to get to Rochdale than Manchester. You might have just been newly diagnosed, or needing support around living with HIV for the first time - or you may be an existing service user that wants to sit down for a chat.
