2 Lancashire HIV Jobs

Shiver, Blackpool logoSHIVER (Sexual Health HIV Education and Reponses), and CLASS, which are both part of Drugline Lancashire, have two HIV jobs to offer. One is in Blackpool, the other in Preston. They say these are a unique opportunity to develop support for those living with and affected by HIV in Central Lancashire and Blackpool, offering a partnership approach with existing services and also harnessing the skills and experiences of those living with and affected by HIV.

  1. SHIVER Project Worker (Blackpool) Ref. BPPCT/001, funded until March 31st 2012 by Blackpool PCT, £26,325.96 salary 35 hours per week (including evening shifts)
  2. Central Lancashire HIV Voluntary Sector Provision CLASS Project Co-ordinator (Preston based) Ref. CLHIV/01, funded until March 31st 2011 by Central Lancashire PCT and Lancashire County Council Social Services, £26,325.96 salary 35 hours per week (including evening shifts)

CLASS HIV logoThey are looking for people with a relevant degree and/or comparable counselling/adult training qualifications. The people appointed require excellent listening, counselling, communication, supervision/support, presentation/training, monitoring /reporting, case working and administrative skills. They expect up to date knowledge and understanding of HIV and Sexual Health and ideally have experience of working with volunteers. People appointed need to be able to work in a flexible way and have confidence in individual and group settings.
