We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to help us further develop our programme of volunteer support for people living with HIV.

George House Trust is the North West’s leading HIV charity. We aim to promote the best quality of life for people with or affected by HIV. We currently support 2,200 men, women, and children, and we are looking for a dynamic person to join our busy team.

Community Support Volunteer Coordinator 17.5 hours per week. NJC 26-31 £21,412-£25,320 Pro Rata (Pay award pending) With experience of the Health and Social Care Sector and an interest in working with volunteers, you will co-ordinate volunteer support for a diverse range of individuals, who use our services.

The Community Support Programme aims to build self esteem, increase independence and help HIV positive people access services and activities in their communities.  You will play a key role in training and managing volunteers, as well as working directly with service users and building relationships with other professionals and organisations.

This is an exciting time to join our expanding Volunteer Team and to play a key role in developing our new approach to Community Support. A commitment to using a person-centred approach and working creatively with individuals to reach their full potential is essential.
