Fantastic World AIDS Day Fundraiser for GHT!

We’re delighted to announce that the wonderful people at TheGayVillageOnline.com have nominated George House Trust as their charity for this year’s World AIDS Day fundraiser. it's a Tooty Booty competition, with the grand final being held on the 2nd December at Cruz 101.
In conjunction with Poptastic and Hot Village Magazine, the competition aims to discover the best behind in the village!
Village bars and clubs will all nominate a member of staff from their teams to take part and you get to vote for the winner by text. All cash raised from voting and £1 of each entry purchased for the grand final will go to supporting our vital work here at George House Trust.

Icon Bar are organising a very special Deal or No Deal style night at their bar on Friday 2nd December, where George House Trust have been invited to attempt to ‘beat the banker’ to raise money for our charity.
The evening starts from 8.30 p.m. and GHT would love to see as many of our supporters there as possible, to cheer us on! For details of the venue, visit their website

Poptastic have organised their Annual Big Red Ball on Tuesday 29th November 2011, which will be raising money for George House Trust for World AIDS Day.

The Tooty Booty, Deal or No Deal and the Big Red Ball event are one of many activities being promoted as part of TheGayVillageOnline.com’s Raising4Red campaign, which encourages local businesses to support HIV related charities in Greater Manchester, over the World AIDS Day period. They have set a target of raising £10,000 and George House Trust is one of the charities that will benefit.

Launch of African Men's Calabash Space

George House Trust has received funding to develop it's work with African men with African Men's Adviser Mike Mpofu leading on this exciting work.
Mike would like to invite Positive African men who are known to GHT to a group meeting on Saturday 19th November at George House Trust - the meeting is from 12.30 pm until 3 p.m. There'll be African food and music.
It is really important that for positive African Men to come along, so that they can let Mike know what you want from services at George House Trust.

Positive Steps Residential Weekends

Positive Steps - the social and support group for gay men living with HIV in North Greater Manchester and Lancashire - are organising 3 residential weekends between now and the end of July 2012. The weekends are funded by the Big Lottery Fund and are free to participants.

Are you aware of the range of services provided by George House Trust for people living with HIV?
We would like the invite you to our Services Open Day and networking lunch on Wednesday 5th October 2011.Lunch provided , come to either the morning 10 am - 1pm or the afternoon 12 - 3pm session.

CV Writing Session for Gay Men

Would you like help with your C.V.?
Are you unemployed or working but looking for another job? Or would you like to brush up on your C.V. skills for when you do decide or are able to look for work in the future?
If you’ve answered yes to any of the above then come along to the C.V. writing workshop at the Gay Men’s Space – Please bring a copy of your current CV with you – even if this is only a rough draft – YOU WILL NEED THIS FOR THE WORKSHOP.
You do not have to have attended the Gay Men’s Space before, however the workshop is only open to gay men living with HIV already known to George House Trust.
