George House Trust’s Telephone Buddy Service is a telephone befriending service between a volunteer and a George House Trust service user who is self-isolating because of Coronavirus.

Telephone Buddy

TELEPHONE BUDDY

You will be buddied up with a volunteer who will commit to a regular time slot at a mutually agreeable time to contact you.  The volunteer will call you for a casual friendly chat at the same time each week for up to one hour.  We want to ensure that we are doing everything possible to help people self-isolating to stay connected to people.  This is a fun, safe and relaxed way to continue to provide support during the closure of face-to-face services.

Signing up to the Telephone Buddy service does not mean we will be able to help you with practical support.  A Telephone Buddy cannot help you with practical tasks such as shopping or picking up prescriptions.  If you are having difficulty with ensuring you have food and medication please contact George House Trust on 0161 274 4499 and leave a message. Someone will get back to you asap.
